MIND-BODY SKILLS GROUP PROGRAM (MBSG)
Eight sessions of 2 hours each.
NEXT PROGRAM: To be announced
Limited number of participants: 10 maximum.

Mind-body medicine is a transformative gift. It has the power to impact individuals as well as entire communities as they move through trauma, chronic stress and anxiety, toward healing.
Through this transformative training, we share evidence-based methods that are easy to understand and easy to adopt into a regular practice, such as: Breathing techniques to calm the nervous system; Movements to release tension; Self-expression to share and process emotions. These techniques are also rooted in ancient wisdom and indigenous traditions. Sharing this knowledge supports a cross-cultural and inter-generational connection.
Mind-Body Medicine focuses on the interactions between the mind and the body and the techniques and practices that we can use to enhance our health and well-being. We will learn and practice a variety of skills that will help us change the way we deal with pain, chronic illness, stress, anxiety, and depression, and that will allow us to experience deeper relaxation, less pain, less fatigue, greater energy, and enhanced immune system functioning.
Chronic stress disrupts every physiological function and contributes to every major psychological and physical disorder. Our training focuses on practical, simple, evidence-based stress-relief and resilience-building skills for self-care and emotional well-being, such as meditation, guided imagery, biofeedback, and self-expression through words, drawings, and movement.
Facilitators: Jennifer Wennberg and Piero Falci
