Piero Falci teaches Mindfulness Meditation and Mindful Living and the acclaimed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. He leads Insight Meditation Silent Retreats and organizes Silent Peace Walks. He lives in Florida, USA. He was trained by the teachers at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University.

2 – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
MBSR? What is it? Why this stress-reduction program is being prescribed by doctors all over the world?
MBSR is a program that helps us manage stress by improving the ways we respond to our thoughts and emotions and the ways we deal with our problems. It teaches us to recognize the interactions of mind, body, and feelings, and ways of improving our mental, physical, and emotional health by responding more wisely to the stressors in our lives.
Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is being taught all over the world because it has proven to be effective in helping to treat many conditions that undermine our health, such as anxiety, panic, depression, difficulty to sleep, fatigue, headaches, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, gastrointestinal distress, skin disorders, fibromyalgia, cancer, and pain. Piero teaches MBSR several times during the year.

3 – Silent Retreats
Get more information about the multi-day silent retreats that Piero co-leads at the West Broward Insight Meditation Community website. Next 3-day, at-home, online, insight meditation retreat will take place from March 19 to 21, 2021. Join the sessions from wherever you may be via Zoom. Each day there will be a lecture, some light guided instruction, a gentle mindful movement class, teacher support meetings, and plenty of silent time to practice loving-kindness, self-compassion, and mindfulness meditation through seated, walking, and eating practices.
