Daily Reflections – Week 34

I hope you enjoy reading this collection of reflections. Namaste. ~ Piero

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around and see all the beauty that surrounds you. Be aware of the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles. Feel the breeze, and appreciate the silence. There’s peace in the air… can you feel it? Immerse yourself in this peace and let it impregnate you. Soak it all in!

Today is a good day to reflect on what you were brought here to do.

You have gifts to give, and this is your job in this life. So, don’t postpone giving the gifts that you are meant to give. Don’t decline to accept the call to share.

Apply yourself to give the gifts that only you can give, and don’t worry about tomorrow.  Accept that life is an adventure, and no one is able to be completely safe. Don’t seek security; seek freedom. And experience complete peace of mind when you are no longer afraid.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? The sea and the land continue to be where they are supposed to be. Life goes on!

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to question the script of the world, all those things that we were told we must be, do, and have in order to be happy, such as “You have to study and get a degree. You have to get a higher degree. You have to buy a house. You have to marry and have children. You have to have a family. You have to have a good job. You have to work hard. You have to make lots of money.”

Have you ever questioned the “you-have-to’s?” Are they real to you? Will doing and acquiring all those things really bring you happiness? And why are you unhappy? Is it because you don’t have fulfilled the model of success according to the script of the world, and therefore you cannot consider yourself a success?

Today is a good day to question what the world tells. Think about what you were told that you need to be, do, and have in order to be happy, and figure out what really makes you happy.

Remember: you are the one in charge. Define clearly who you are and what you were brought here to do.

Today’s a good day to realize that even if you are not, do not, and have not all those things, you still are a success. You are a child of the Universe, and your mere presence here is a gift to the world. So stop feeling incomplete and unworthy, and rejoice with who you are, what you do, and what you have.

Life is good! Enjoy it!

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around and see beyond what you see. Look with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on the existence of two universes — the physical and the non-physical — and consider that we inhabit both at the same time.

Consider that we are, at the same time, mortal and immortal, human and divine. Consider that we are birthless and deathless, that we experience birth and death in this physical plane, but not in the spiritual one. Contemplate that we are, at the same time, separated and united, many and one.

Today is a good day to continue your meditation practice and enhance the time you spend in the realm of emptiness. Give your thinking mind some time off, and stay in that thoughtless space. And begin to see beyond what you see.

Just do it!

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 24

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look and see beyond what you see. There is Magic, Mystery, and Miracles all around us. We are surrounded by beauty, aren’t we?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to remember that a good life is a collection of good moments.

Sadly, many of us are sleepwalking through life, and we can’t see beauty even when we are in the middle of it. We must wake up and remain alert and aware of what is going on, extracting the best and infusing each and every moment with refinement and elegance. This is what creates a good life. This is what, at the end of our days, will make us feel that ours were lives well lived.

Do you remember those signs, “You must be present to win?” That’s how it is in life; in order to claim its prizes, you have to be present.

So, pay attention to each and every moment! Be here, now.

Just be!

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 25

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around and see all the beauty that surrounds you. Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to face your fears and do those things that you have been avoiding to do.

Be courageous, and face your monsters. Do those things you know you have to do, but don’t want to, and do them now; do not postpone any longer. Do at least a little bit everyday. Do so and realize that all those things that were haunting you, that were depriving you of the full enjoyment of life, weren’t the monsters you thought they were. Face your fears and worries, experience real freedom, and find yourself asking, “Why haven’t I done this before?”

Move to the next stage of your life, to a simpler, less complicated life, and put more adventure into it. Explore and inspire. Live the great life that only you can live, and give the great gifts that only you can give. Do what you’re called by the Universe to do, and do not worry about the outcomes.

Just do it!

August 26

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around the eyes of the heart and see all the beauty that surrounds you. There is Magic, Mystery, and Miracles everywhere, right?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to let go of your fears.

Many times we are afraid because we imagine that something bad may happen to us, or to our loved ones, and we imagine the worst possible outcomes. And those disturbing thoughts keep haunting us if we don’t question and challenge them.

Fears affect our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health in negative ways. Fears create knots that prevent the free flow of energy in us and through us. Many times we can feel those knots in our bodies, in the throat, chest, and stomach, for instance. Our job is to untie those knots in order to allow the Life Force Energy to flow freely in us and through us, so we can experience joy and serenity. And how can we do that? By letting go of the fears.

We have to grow in the awareness that our fears are moving in the darkness, acting in the background, corroding our sanity, and preventing us from fully enjoying our present moments. The regular practice of meditation allows us to become more aware of our fears; in the quiet and stillness we are better able to identify what is troubling us. And once we do that, we can direct a light at our fears, take a good look at them, and calmly take the necessary steps to deal with them. We may become aware of how our imagination is creating danger where, in reality, there isn’t any. We may realize that although there may be danger in the future, there is no actual danger in the here-now. Looking at our fears weakens them. But since we choose to avoid looking at them, they grow in strength. This is the problem.

What are you afraid of? Take your time to identify what is troubling you. Don’t hide from your fears. Don’t push them away. Stop and take a good look at them. Be courageous and face your monsters.

Just do it!

You will be glad you did it.

August 27

August 27

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. It is beyond beautiful, isn’t it?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to take a good look at your life, and take the time to reflect on where you were, where you are, and where you are going.

Today is the last day of your old life, of the life you lived until now. Today is also the first day of the rest of your life, of the life you are creating every moment, with every decision you make. This moment is the last and also the first. This moment is the last of the past and the first of the future. In reality, this moment is all that there is; all the rest is an illusion. So, how are you going to live it in order to enhance the quality of your life?

A good life is a collection of good moments. So, pause, go to the center of your being, to that place of peace, and ask yourself, “Am I living every moment consciously? Am I seeing the beauty? Am I looking for and finding joy in the present? What should I do now? What should I do to enjoy this Garden and have fun in this Playground that was given to me? What should I do to enhance the enjoyment of this moment? What should I do to impact the lives of many in positive ways? What should I do the rest of my life? ”

The Forces of the Universe brought you here, to this moment. Be grateful for the life you lived so far, and for the lessons learned and taught. Recognizing that you are special, unique, and that you have a lot to give, ask yourself, “Among the many things I can do, which are the ones that will contribute the most for the betterment of the world?”

Just do them!

You will be glad you did.

Stay Alive

Florencia, my dear friend and teacher, reminds us to slow down, observe, and smell the scents in the air.

Florencia florzinha

She wrote,” When was the last time you really REALLY looked around you, and took the time to wonder and appreciate even the smallest of things in their awesome perfection? Today, right now, take 5 minutes out of your phone and look at something with new eyes; observe its shape, the variation in color, the texture, how the light bounces off it, how it feels, or even how it smells… Ever wonder how it got to be that way? What it went through and what it must still endure? Stop, observe, be aware of your surroundings and all its magic! Don’t sleepwalk through life! If my dog, Chico, can stop to smell the flowers, so can we!”

I invite you to watch this video. This song was included in the soundtrack of Ben Stiller’s movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.”

Stay Alive ~ José González
There’s a rhythm in rush these days
Where the lights don’t move and the colors don’t fade
Leaves you empty with nothing but dreams
In a world gone shallow
In a world gone lean
Sometimes there’s things a man cannot know
Gears won’t turn and the leaves won’t grow
There’s no place to run and no gasoline
Engine won’t turn
And the train won’t leave
Engines won’t turn and the train won’t leave
I will stay with you tonight
Hold you close ’til the morning light
In the morning watch a new day rise
We’ll do whatever just to stay alive
We’ll do whatever just to stay alive
Well the way I feel is the way I write
It isn’t like the thoughts of the man who lies
There is a truth and it’s on our side
Dawn is coming
Open your eyes
Look into the sun as the new days rise

Daily Reflections – Week 33

I hope you enjoy reading this collection of reflections. Namaste. ~ Piero

August 14

August 14

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that are around you. This planet of ours is our Garden and Playground, and it is awesome. We are so fortunate to be here, aren’t we? We are in Heaven!

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to think about abundance.

Don’t focus on what you don’t have, but appreciate and be grateful for what you have. Don’t focus on what you can’t do, but appreciate and be grateful for the things you can do.

Don’t compare yourself with others. Don’t feel less than anyone else. Don’t let someone else’s accomplishments and successes affect your self-esteem. Don’t feel intimidated by successful people. Who are you comparing yourself with? Who are you competing with? Why?

Give thanks for all you are, all you do, and all you have.

Don’t believe that someone else’s success diminishes your opportunities of experiencing success. Change your paradigm, and believe in inexhaustible abundance. This is an abundant Universe. There’s plenty for everybody. Believe that everyone can have everything, that everyone can be successful and happy, and that the success of others enhances your opportunities of experiencing success.

Be who you are. You are a child of the Universe. You have immense value, and you are successful already! Can’t you see it?

You bring a lot to the world when you are you. You are a blessing to all when you do not compare yourself with others, when you are centered in your own self, and sure of your own value. You are a beloved presence when you overcome the competitive mindset, refrain from being envious, and sincerely rejoice with the accomplishments and successes of others.

Choose to be happy.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the beauty that surrounds you. There is Magic, Mystery and Miracles everywhere.

Today is a good day to think about relationships and kindness.

Encounters are magical, mysterious and miraculous. Through them we teach one another.

Treat everyone you meet with kindness, and don’t forget to be kind with your own self. Do so, and people will be kind with you. Others will treat you by observing the way you treat them, others, and yourself. Be kind. Demand kindness, and receive it.

Some people come into our lives just for a period of time, just to teach us the lessons we need to learn, or for us to teach them the lessons they need to learn. Coming together and growing apart are two sides of the same coin. When the time of separation comes, don’t feel bad; move on, knowing that the lessons have been taught.

Be kind.

Just do it.

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 16

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? We are surrounded by wonder, aren’t we? There’s beauty everywhere, right? We only have to look for it, and have the eyes to see it. So look for it! See it!

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on our desires.

What have you been chasing? Where is your focus? Have you been looking for things outside of yourself to enhance the quality of your life? Or have you been looking inside?

We enhance the quality of our lives when we live more mindfully, when we treat each moment with reverence, and when we develop the ability to see that everything is magical, mysterious, and miraculous. We enhance the quality of our lives when we notice the Divine Presence in the world. The awareness of the Divine in everything changes our priorities and desires. In our unconscious, daily existence, what we think is real is an illusion, and what we think is an illusion is real. When we are aligned with the Life Force Energy, different desires are born in our hearts, and we realize that the things that we had been chasing before were illusions that would never provide us with lasting happiness. Before, we struggled to get what we wanted, but now that our desires are the desires the Universe has planted in our hearts, everything comes to life easily, without struggle.

The spiritual awareness changes our lives radically. It adds a sophisticated elegance to our lives, and inspires us to diminish the speed we move through life, be more grateful and kind, and be gentler with our own selves. This, in a nutshell, is what really enhances the quality of our lives.

Now that you were reminded of it, just do it!

August 17

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around and see. There’s Magic, Mystery, and Miracles everywhere.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to practice the art of mindful living, and applying the C.A.R. method which stands for Catch, Acknowledge, and Release: Catch yourself thinking and feeling. Acknowledge the thoughts and emotions. Release them, gently.

So, today, observe yourself, and whenever you notice that you are agitated, catch the disturbing thoughts and emotions, acknowledge them — by taking a good look at them — and gently release them. By repeatedly doing so, you will gain control over your moods. Practicing to catch, acknowledge, and release will enhance the quality of your life immensely.

Thoughts trigger automatic reactions, but you can always pause, think, and choose the best responses. Be the master of the space between stimulus and response.

Just be it!

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 18

August 18

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on the existence of two minds: the thinking and the non-thinking.

You are using your thinking mind, right now, to read these words, and make sense of what you are reading. The thinking mind is curious. It wants to know. It asks questions and wants answers. The thinking mind is wonderful and useful. It is a beautiful part of who you are.

But there is another dimension beyond the thinking mind that we fail to explore thoroughly. In that dimension there is a vast emptiness, and it is from that dimension that we can observe what is going on in the thinking mind. That is a dimension that I invite you to visit more often, and once there, I encourage you pay extreme attention. It is in that non-thinking space that we realize that there is a knowing that does not asks questions or seeks answers, a state of being that knows that questions and answers are not really important.

There is a space of thoughts and a space of emptiness. There is a space of knowledge and a space of knowing.

While the thinking mind strives to accumulate knowledge, the empty mind rests in peaceful wisdom. While the thinking mind separates and classifies, the empty mind sees an integral whole.

In those moments when you are able to detach yourself from yourself, and observe yourself — in those moments when you become aware of your thoughts and emotions — you are in another dimension. It is in that space that you operate as the Observer, the “I” who asks the question, “Who am I?”

There is a higher consciousness beyond the thinking mind. There is an all-knowing above the knowledge.

We don’t meet in the thinking minds; we meet in the space of emptiness. In that space, we experience unity and oneness. In that space, competition and conflict make no sense, while a nonviolent life of kindness, compassion, generosity and peace makes all the sense.

Spend more time in the non-thinking mind as the Observer.

Just do it, and you will enhance the quality of your life.

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 19

August 19

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? The Earth is still here, traveling through the Cosmos. The Sun is still here, warming us up. And we are still here, breathing and observing all the beauty that is around us. There is Magic, Mystery and Miracles everywhere. Isn’t all this incredible?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to enhance the quality of our lives by taking steps to simplify and release.

When life becomes too cumbersome, we need to simplify, and the way to begin is by acknowledging that we are carrying a load that we don’t need to carry anymore.

We have to recognize that we don’t need all the stuff that we have accumulated; we can let go with confidence, knowing that, in this world of abundance, more will be given to us along our journeys.

We don’t need to keep carrying our past personas, projecting images of who we were in the past. We are new individuals now. So be authentic, and show the world who you really are. Let go of lives that have played themselves out and do not serve you anymore.

We don’t need to keep telling the sad stories of our past suffering, or keep showing our wounds and scars. Realize how old these stories are, and how tired you are of telling them. Do not keep on carrying a load of stories that grew old and do not serve you anymore. Release these old stories and let them set you free. Choose to tell different stories, stories of success and joy, of gratitude and happiness.

Let go of the mistakes of the past. Let go of the memories of hurtful things people have done to you, and you have done to others and to your own self. Release those wounds of the past. Go beyond simply forgiving and forgetting; choose complete healing. The past is an illusion. It is gone. You are here, now. Be here, now.

Let go of relationships that do not enhance the quality of your life anymore. Evaluate the people you share your life with, and see if they build you up, or drag you down. Choose who you want to have by your side. Life is short.

You crossed the river, and the boat was useful to you. But you are in dry land now. Carrying the heavy boat will make your journey miserable, and will slow you down. Leave the boat behind, and proceed with ease and lightness. Don’t carry a boat that you don’t need anymore.

Acknowledge what may be holding you back, and let go of all the things that do not serve you anymore.

Simplify!

Just do it! And by doing it, enhance the quality of your life.

Namaste. ~ Piero

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Here we are, living on top of this spinning sphere whose surface is revolving at a speed of 1,000 miles per hour, moving around the Sun at a speed of 67,000 miles per hour, in our Solar System that is whirling around the center of our galaxy at 490,000 miles per hour.

How can one not be amazed? There is Magic all around us, Mystery everywhere, and Miracles happening all the time!

Let us be amazed, grateful and happy.

Let us truly wake up, pay attention, see all the beauty that surrounds us, and be aware of all that is going on. Let us remember to stay in the 4 A’s: Alive, Awake, Aware, and Alert.

Today is a good day to ask ourselves, “Who am I? What do I love? How do I live knowing that I will die? What are my gifts to the family of the Earth?”

Today is a good day to remember who you are, and what you were brought here to do, so do not lose yourself in the trivialities of life; do not allow the little problems to consume you. Realize that no matter how big you may think your problems are, they are nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Today is a good day to leave everything that does not serve you anymore behind, and go forward to live the life you are meant to live.

Life is so much more!

Just do it!

Daily Reflections – Week 32

I hope you enjoy reading this collection of reflections. Namaste. ~ Piero

August 7

August 7

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Pause for a moment, become aware of your breathing, and look around. Can you see all the beauty? Can you see all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles? Can you see all the gifts that life has given you? Take a moment to acknowledge how blessed you are.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to practice letting go of worry.

Why are you worried? Why are you preoccupied? What good can come out from your worrying? Can’t you see that your worrying doesn’t allow you to enjoy the beauty and the gifts that are only found in the present moment?

Do not worry!

You know well that change is inevitable. Some things that you may not want to happen, will. But if you keep thinking about what you don’t want to happen, you lose the enjoyment of the here-now. So, relax and accept the inevitable change. Accept losing the vigor of youth. Accept aging and dying. As you go through life, be cognizant that as you lose some things, you gain others. Do not worry. Practice being grateful, and staying in the here-now. Enjoy the gifts life has given you; there’s a lot to be grateful for, right? Focus on what you can give to improve the lives of others. Focus on giving, not on getting. Be optimistic. This attitude will make you shine like a bright star. Your positive energy will make people want to be with you, and independently of your age, your appearance, or your possessions, you will be seen as a beautiful human being… and you will be adored.

Focus on giving, not on getting. Create, and give the gifts that only you can give. Make life better for others. Smile. Treat all people you meet with reverence, knowing that they are miracles. And by doing so, you will be a beautiful blessing to the world.

Give, and you will receive. Be a blessing, and you will be blessed.

Just do it.

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 8

August 8

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles around you. Can you see how blessed we are? Isn’t it amazing?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on what you bring to the world.

Ask yourself, “What am I going to bring to the world? Am I going to give it my insecurities and fears, or am I going to give it my happiness and joy?”

Be not afraid! You know that nothing stays the same, don’t you? You know that change is the only constant in life, don’t you? So accept the inevitability of change, and welcome it. Look for the good in everything, and remember that we are the ones who call our experiences either good or bad; we are the ones who attribute value to them. We are the ones who label our experiences. In the end, good and bad is defined by us, and this is what gives us immense power. We have the power to see good in everything and have an extraordinary life!

Don’t wait to enjoy life in the future, only when you get to that ideal situation you have imagined. Don’t postpone the enjoyment of life. Life is a succession of present moments, so stay in the here-now, find the good in it, and call it good. Be happy, content, and satisfied now.

The way you show up in this world is your greatest gift. Show up as a grateful, appreciative, and optimistic individual, and bless the world with your presence. Be a blessing, and you will be blessed.

Just do it!

Namaste. ~ Piero

August 9

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. The Earth is still here, spinning around, and traveling through the Cosmos. The Sun is still here, warming us up, and giving us light and life. We are still here, awake, aware, alert, and alive. This admirable and mysterious journey continues. How blessed we are!

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect upon who we are not.

We are not our physical bodies; at least, we are not only that. We are not our physical appearances. We are not the images we project. We are not what others see of us. We are not what others think of us. We are not, even, what we see and think of ourselves. Physical appearance, athletic ability, mental capacity, and intellectual dexterity are not that important. All our vain worries, such as, “How beautiful am I? How strong am I? How intelligent am I? How rich am I? How powerful am I? How successful am I? Where do I stand compared to the rest?” are unimportant. In the end, all those vain assessments are insignificant; they are all mental constructions. We are the ones who attribute value to things and situations. We are the ones who say what is success and what is failure. We are the ones who call this good and that bad. We are the ones who call this beautiful and that ugly. We are the ones who submit ourselves to the approval or disapproval of others. We are the ones who allow ourselves to be judged. We are the ones judging ourselves. We are the ones who submit ourselves to stressful demands in order to achieve goals. But the truth is that all this stress is unnecessary, because, in the end, it’s all an illusion. It’s all a mental construction. It’s all made up.

Our value is not measured by our accomplishments, results, and possessions. Success, power, fame, fortune, prestige, accolades, praise, recognition, adoration, are all cravings of the ego. The ego craves to feel exceptional. Now, pause, breathe deeply, and ask yourself, “Is there any real need to be exceptional?” Be honest. So many of the things we think matter, really don’t. In the end, we will see that even the pursuit of all those things that we thought were necessary, was purposeless. It was all a mirage. It was all a mental construction. It was all made up by the culture, and accepted by us without questioning.

So, who are we? Seek advice from Death, the Wisest Counselor, and it will tell you that we are more than what we think we are. We are physical manifestations of the Life Force Energy. We are, at the same time, mortal and immortal, impermanent and eternal, human and divine. We are more!

So, today, take the time to be gentle with yourself. Give yourself the gift of rest. Enjoy this present moment. Enjoy the beauty of the Garden, and have lots of fun in the Playground.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround us. We are abundantly blessed, aren’t we?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to understand that we are more than what we think we are.

Take a moment to pause, breathe slowly and deeply, and go to the center of your being, to that place of quiet and stillness that calms your mind, and allows you to think more clearly. Then, reflect on these words of Albert Einstein:

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Take some time, today, to reflect on who we really are, and consider ideas such as, “We are, at the same time, mortal and immortal, impermanent and eternal, human and divine. We are, at the same time, separated and united, disconnected and interconnected, independent and interdependent, many and one.” Ponder, for a moment, on how the well-being and happiness of others — as well as their pain and suffering — affects your own. Give wings to your imagination, today, and take off for a high-altitude flight that will allow you to see more than what you are currently able to see. See yourself not as a separated individual, but as an element of a much larger organism called Universe. Befriend the idea that you are more than what you think you are, that you are part of a larger whole, and that you are united, interconnected, and interdependent with everything else in the Universe. Make it your task, today, to free yourself from the prison of self-centered desires, limiting thoughts, and limited love. Make it your task, today, to “widen your circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Just do it, and experience a greater serenity.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around with the eyes of the heart, and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. There is beauty everywhere, right? We are so fortunate to be alive, aren’t we? This beautiful planet of ours is our Garden and our Playground, and today is a good day to take time to enjoy the beauty of the Garden, and have fun in the Playground. Today is a good day to be amazed, grateful and happy.

Remember that we were given a great power: we have the power to call whatever we want good. So, today, call your life good. Decide and declare that you are very fortunate, immensely blessed, and that you have a blissful life. Call it good, and let everyone know it. Be grateful for your good life, and let everyone know it.

Just call it. Just be it.

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around with the eyes of the heart, and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround us. This planet where we live is beautiful, isn’t it? We are highly blessed, aren’t we?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to analyze our desires.

Desires move us. The goals we want to achieve motivate us, put us in motion, and give us reasons to live. Desires are natural and inevitable. But take time, today, to analyze your desires, and evaluate your goals, What do you want to accomplish? Will getting what you want make you happy? Be sure your goals are truly yours, and not someone else’s. Be sure you are pursuing what you truly want, and find happiness and peace in the pursuit.

Make it your grandest desire to enjoy life in the here-now. And if you feel like doing it, make it your goal to make the Garden more beautiful, and the Playground more enjoyable.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around with the eyes of the heart, and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. We are on top of a sphere that is spinning around and floating in the cosmos. Each one of the uncountable stars that we see in the night sky is a sun similar to ours. And here we are, in the middle of all this, going through this experience we call Life. Isn’t all this incredible?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to think about past, future, and present.

All the experiences we lived brought us here, but, in reality, the past is irrelevant; it is just a memory, an illusion. The future is also an illusion, a dream. Our desires are good things, since they put us in motion, give us direction, and motivate us, but if we are always trying to get to some place else, some time in the future, we lose the real enjoyment of life that is only found in the here-now. Life is a succession of present moments, and a good life is a collection of good moments. To be a master in the art of living is to make each moment special and remarkable; it is to live each moment paying attention, being awake, aware, alert, and alive, observing the beauty, and learning from our own experiences. Let us not regret the past. Let is allow the wounds to heal. Let us forgive and forget what may be holding us back, and let us move forward knowing that every moment is a new beginning. Let us not stop imagining better days, but, mostly, let us be here, now, enhancing the quality of our lives by living each present moment fully, to the best of our ability. Let us be mindful, and live mindfully. There’s Magic, Mystery, and Miracles everywhere. We just have to see beyond what we see.

Make it your grandest desire, today, to enjoy life in the here-now.

Receive my love.

Daily Reflections – Week 31

I hope you enjoy reading this collection of reflections. Namaste. ~ Piero

July 31

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Today is a good day to pause, breathe, look around, and see the Sacredness everywhere. Today is a good day to realize that we are one.

Look with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you.

All life is sacred. The entire Earth is sacred. The air, the land, the water, all plants, all minerals, all animals, all mankind, we are all sacred. The Mighty Presence is present in all. The Mighty Creator is in all creation, and in every creature. Take a moment to feel that everything is sacred, and internalize this feeling.

Now, reflect on the reality of interconnection. Feel, as deeply as you can, that we are all interconnected, and that whatever happens to one, affects all. Let the realization that “We are One” sink in, and let it inspire you to live a more compassionate and gentle life.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. Tune into the humming sound of silence. Isn’t all of it spellbinding?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to go to our place of peace, pause, breathe, and ask ourselves , “What are we doing on this planet?”

Think about it.

Ask yourself, “What is really important in this life? Why are we moving so fast? Where are we heading to? Do we really need to get there? And if so, do we need to get there this fast? What are we trying to accomplish? Why do we suffer so much during this life to get things? And once we get them, then what?”

Today is a good day to ponder deeply on one of Wayne Muller’s four fundamental questions, “How do I live, knowing that I will die?”

Ask Death these questions: “What are we doing here, in this planet? What is this thing called life? Why am I living? What for?” Let Death advise you. Death is the wisest adviser. Death is the most honest counselor. Befriend it. Be not afraid of it.

Make it your objective today to slow down, reflect, and connect, communicate, and commune with the Sacredness. Make it your objective today to be kind and generous, and give love.

Slow down. Pay attention. Be alert. Focus on maximizing your consciousness and awareness. Practice staying in the 4 A’s: Awake, Aware, Alert, and Alive. Live with reverence, acknowledging that everything is sacred. Remember that we are here to love, and that all we need is love. Love others, love yourself, and know that you are loved.

Receive my love.

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the soul and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround you. There is beauty and perfection everywhere, right? Isn’t it amazing?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to rejoice with the life you have. Today is a good day to be gentle with yourself.

Don’t ask for anything today. Don’t ask anything of God today; give God a day off. Don’t ask anything of yourself today; give yourself a day off. Make of today a day of giving thanks. Make of today a day of giving, not a day of getting. Just enjoy the day in awe and gratitude. Be gentle with yourself. Make of today a day of giving yourself the gift of rest.

No need to do anything today: just appreciate and enjoy life!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Practice to look around with the eyes of the body, but to see with the eyes of the soul. Pay attention! Be alert! See beyond what you see! There’s Magic, Mystery and Miracles all around us. Can you see it? Amazing, isn’t it?

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on prayer, and understand that the right prayer is always the one through which we express gratitude.

When you pray, go to the center of your being, to that place of silence and stillness, and experience contentment, happiness, and peace. Don’t ask for anything today; just give thanks with the utmost sincerity and heartfelt gratitude.

Give thanks from a place of plenty, and avoid asking from a place of lack. Prayers of petition make us weaker, while prayers of thanksgiving make us stronger.

Today is a good day to give thanks for the life you have created so far, and for the new life that you are currently creating.

Give thanks.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Pay attention! Be alert! See with the eyes of the soul, and see beyond what you see. See all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles. Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on Teilhard de Chardin’s statement, “We are not human beings having spiritual experiences; we are spiritual beings having human experiences.”

Today is a good day to think about who we are in both realms: the spiritual and the physical.

Go to the center of your being, to that place of silence and stillness where you experience peace, and ask yourself, “Who am I in this physical world?” Be completely honest. Don’t bring to mind who you were, or who you want to be; see yourself as you truly are now. “In all honesty, who am I in the life I am living right now? Am I able to see myself as I really am?” See yourself as you really are, without illusions. Be honest.

Now, reflect on this question, “Who is the ‘I’ who is asking, ‘Who am I in this physical world?'” This reflection, when done reverently, will take you to a spiritual dimension where you will see yourself differently.

Considering the time you have left to live in this physical realm, ask yourself, “If I am a spiritual being having human experiences, what are the human experiences that this spiritual being still has to experience? Knowing that I am a spiritual being, can I live this physical life without worries? Can I let go of all my fears, and be completely fearless? Knowing that I will die, how do I want to live the rest of my physical existence? What do I want to do? Who do I want to be? Realistically, what are the greatest contributions I can give to make the world a better place?”

Today is a good day to consider that you are both a spiritual and a physical being, and that you are, at the same time, mortal and immortal, impermanent and eternal, human and divine.

Be honest. Follow your bliss. Live the life you are meant to live. Do what what you are supposed to do. Live out the experiences you were brought here to live. Evolve, reach enlightenment, live mindfully in the here-now, and help others see beyond what they see.

Live. Learn. Laugh. Love. Leave a legacy.

Just do it!

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

See beyond what you see, and see all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles that surround you.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to practice choosing what feels good.

Today, whenever you face choices, choose the path of least resistance. Choose what is easy. Ask yourself, “What choice will make me happy?” Allow the Life Force Energy to flow freely through you, and manifest itself in this physical realm through you. Allow you to be who you really are. Allow you to be who you want to be, and do what you want to do. Be a joyful creator who brings happiness and serenity to the world. Choose what feels good. Choose what makes you happy.

Just do it.

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it? Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery, and Miracles that surround us.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on the impermanence of all things.

Change is inevitable. Nothing stays the same. To cling to anything wishing it will not change is certain to produce misery. We have to accept the impermanence of all things and situations. Knowing that everything changes, the best we can do is to go with the flow.

Don’t hold on. Let it go.

Just do it.

Daily Reflections – Week 30

July 24

July 24

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Today is a good day to acknowledge this incredible gift that was given to us.

Take time, today, to watch the sun rising in the horizon. Listen to the sounds of silence. Feel the breeze caressing your skin. Look near and far, and see the big and the small. Feel as if you were immersed in a gentle and welcoming ocean of peace. Actually, you are, if you so choose. Take time, today, to be amazed, grateful and happy.

This is our Garden! This is our Playground! Enjoy the beauty of the Garden, and have fun in the Playground. And if you feel like it, give your contribution, however small, to make the Garden more beautiful and the Playground more enjoyable. Help your friends see and acknowledge the beauty of the Garden, and have more fun in the Playground. And remember to cheerfully share your toys; increase your joy, by increasing theirs.

Take time, today, to bring to someone else’s attention all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles that surround us. Greet a stranger with a smile, and say, “Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?”

Remember: this is Heaven, if we want it to be.

Namaste. ~ Piero

July 25

July 25

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Look around and be amazed, grateful and happy.

Today is a good day to think about the end.

Death is the wisest counselor. If you are not sure you are living the life you are meant to live, and unsure you are doing what you are supposed to do, imagine yourself dying and looking back at your passage here on Earth; what will you be feeling then?

A time will come when we will look back at our lives and realize that all those things that we struggled so hard to obtain — possessions, prestige, money, fame and success — don’t really matter. In the end, we will realize that life is a succession of present moments, and that the only thing that matters is the joy and love we experience in each moment. We will cherish nothing more than the memories of the good times we shared with the meaningful people in our lives. We will remember the moments of collaboration and camaraderie much more than the moments of competition and struggle. We will remember those times when we gave of ourselves to improve the lives of others and make the world a better place. We will remember those whose lives we touched in a positive way and whose suffering we alleviated. We will realize that the only thing that really matters is selfless service and love; the love we are able to give, and the love we are able to receive. That’s all. In the end, we will realize that love is all that really matters, and all we need.

Remember: all things must pass. So, go forth, and give love. Let people know that they are loved. Give love, and be open to receive it. By doing so, you will make it possible for others to experience the joy of giving.

Just do it!

And know that you are loved.

Namaste. ~ Piero

“Death is the only wise advisor that we have. Whenever you feel, as you always do, that everything is going wrong and you’re about to be annihilated, turn to your death and ask if that is so. Your death will tell you that you’re wrong; that nothing really matters outside its touch. Your death will tell you, ‘I haven’t touched you yet.’” ~ Carlos Castaneda, Journey to Ixtlan

“In a world where death is the hunter, my friend, there is no time for regrets or doubts. There is only time for decisions.” ~ Carlos Castaneda, Journey to Ixtlan

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

The Earth continues to spin through the Cosmos, and the sun showed its face to us again. Look around with the eyes of the heart and see all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles that surround you. Appreciate the silence. Be amazed, grateful and happy.

Today is a good day to slow down and be kinder.

Reduce the speed you are moving through life. Take time to find enjoyment in what you are doing. Enjoy the simplest things in life. Enjoy the bath you will take today. Enjoy the water you will drink today. Acknowledge the objects that serve you, and be thankful. Say “Thank you” to the cup that holds your beverage. Say “Thank you” to the bed that sustains your body and gives you rest. Slow down and enjoy a more elegant, graceful and refined existence.

Be gentle, generous, patient, compassionate and kind today. Stay away from everything that is loud and aggressive, and cultivate a calm, focused attention. Be mindful and grateful.

Do this, and enhance the quality of your life.

Just do it!

Be gentle with yourself, and know that you are loved.

July 27

July 27

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Here you are, awake, alert, aware and alive! Life is pure Magic, Mystery and Miracles, isn’t it?

Today is a good day to practice the simple things that enhance the quality of our lives.

1 – Be grateful.
Recognize the wonderful life you have, and give thanks for it. Express gratitude for all that has been given to you. Make an inventory of what you have, before putting yourself in motion to get more. Acknowledge where you are before you set yourself in motion to go elsewhere.

2 – Be not afraid.
Focus on the positive aspects of your life. Dispel the negative emotions brought up by fear. Practice to gently acknowledge and release your worries when they show up.

3 – Forgive and forget.
Release anger, envy, hatred, and all the other negative feelings toward other individuals.

4 – Be authentic.
Meditate deeply on who you are and what is the highest contribution you can offer to the world. Develop the commitment to be completely authentic and honest with yourself. Simplify your life. Get rid of stuff that does not serve you anymore. Gently release what is holding you back. Let go of a life that has played itself out and does not serve you anymore. Follow your bliss. Put yourself in motion to be the best that you can be, and do what you were brought here to do.

5 – Be kind.
Bring to your mind thoughts of kindness and generosity. Focus not so much on what you want to get, but on the gifts that you can give. Put yourself in motion to help other people. Be compassionate, kind, generous and patient.

The regular practice of these five items will make your passage here on Earth much more meaningful and enjoyable.

Just do it!

And know that you are loved.

Namaste. ~ Piero

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Listen! Insects are chirping. Birds are singing. The sun is coming up and the world is slowly awaking. There is Magic, Mystery and Miracles all around us. Be amazed, grateful and happy.

Today is a good day to regain the joy and innocence of a child.

Take time, today, to bring to mind images of children at play. See their smiling faces. Hear their laughter. Feel their joy. Observe their awe as they discover the world. Reflect on their innocence.

Can you see yourself as a little child? Can you see how wonderful and innocent you are? Can you feel the desire to protect this child?

Now, take your little self up in your arms. Look your little self in the eyes. Smile, and see yourself smiling back at you. Say, “I love you. I will always love you and take care of you,” and hear your little self saying, “I will always love you and take good care of you, too. I love you. Don’t worry; everything will be alright.”

Just do it!

And know that you are loved.

Namaste. ~ Piero

July 29

July 29

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

Just pause, take a deep breath, and look around. Can you see all the Magic, all the Mystery, and all the Miracles that surround you? It is amazing, isn’t it? So, be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a good day to reflect on authenticity.

Go to your place of peace, meditate, and ask yourself the four fundamental questions that Wayne Muller taught us: “Who am I? What do I love? How do I live knowing that I will die? What are my gifts to the family of the Earth?”

Let the answers come to you.

Now, answer the following questions with absolute honesty: “Am I authentic? Am I being who I am meant to be? Am I doing what I was brought here to do? Am I living the life I am supposed to live?”

If the answers to these poignant questions are upsetting, don’t be discouraged. Remember that life is a journey. We are here to learn. There will always be room for improvement. Since a new awareness is born every day, be aware that answers to these questions are never-ending. Therefore practice to be awake, aware, alert and alive unceasingly. Pay attention and be alert always. Be here, now. Adopt this as your daily discipline. Doing this will remind you of who you really are and what you were brought here to do.

Follow Howard Thurman’s exhortation: “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”  And be not afraid. Let the words of Joseph Campbell inspire you, and give you courage: “Follow your bliss, and the Universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.”

Set yourself in motion, and fulfill your destiny!

Just do it!

And know that you are loved.

Namaste. ~ Piero

Good morning!

Today is another beautiful day in Paradise, isn’t it?

This globe, upon which we live, just finished its three hundred and sixty degrees rotation while floating in a vacuum. It took it twenty-four hours to complete the whole turn around its axis, and here we are, again, facing the sun one more time. And all this happened without any human intervention. Isn’t this amazing? Isn’t this great? Can you see all the Magic, Mystery and Miracles that surround us? Truly, Creation is perfect, and since we are part of Creation, we, too, are perfect.

Be amazed! Be grateful! Be happy!

Today is a great day to practice mindfulness.

Go to the center of your being, to that quiet place of stillness, and meditate. Focus your attention on your breathing.  Whenever something distracts you, and you realize that you no longer are paying attention to your breathing, come back to it using the CAR method: Catch – Acknowledge – Release. Catch yourself distracted with a thought, Acknowledge it, and gently Release it. Let the distraction go, while bringing your attention back to your breathing. Do this over and over again, as many times as the distractions come up, and you will have a successful meditation.

Now, as you go through your day, make sure you stay focused on the here-now. Remember to ask yourself, as many times during the day as possible, “Where am I right now? What am I doing here right now?” Asking these simple questions will increase your mindfulness.

Do it, and you will enhance the quality of your life.

Just do it!
