My friend Jameson Henkle is an explorer and inspirer.
Our paths crossed on the first day of my bike ride in Oregon in 2012.
Our encounter lasted less than 24 hours, but we kept in touch through the Internet since then.
Jameson is always doing something outdoors… hiking, biking, enjoying the beauty of Planet Earth, and making friends along the way.
He read my blog — the one in which I pointed out the coincidence of both the Pope and I making a similar appeal for sanity — and he wrote me some extremely kind words. I copied our exchange because I feel that Jameson lifestyle is exemplary. Jameson is enjoying the Garden and the Playground. Not only that… Jameson, in his own unique way, is revealing the Garden and the Playground to us. He is helping us see the beauty that surrounds us.
It seems a display of the interconnectedness of human beings rather than a coincidence that your words mirrored the Pope’s at the same event. It is wonderful to hear and see your awareness and how it is tuned into our modern world. Your words are here to do good, your actions reinforce the words. Keep up the good work my friend. I appreciate it, and your impact is greater reaching than you or I can even know. A movement starts with one person, then grows to two, then snowballs exponentially. If we want peace in this world, we have to live it, show it, believe in it. I believe in you Piero.
Thank you, sincerely, for your kind words. They touched me.
I didn’t reply earlier to you because I was in Colorado, having fun in the Playground and enjoying the beauty of the Garden. I just came back.
I want you to know that you are an example to all of us! Through the sharing of your trips and explorations, you are revealing to a lot of people the Heaven that exists here on Earth. You show us that this is our Playground. You reveal to us the beauty of the Garden. For that I say, “Thank you.”
By doing what you do, you inspire us and makes this world a better place. Please, continue, revealing to us that Heaven can be found here on Earth. Continue showing us that this is our Garden and our Playground, and that all we have to do is to take good care of both. All we have to do is to enjoy this amazing gift that was given to us, have fun together, and share our toys.
Continue doing what you are doing. Go forth and remind us that we are here to enjoy the beauty of the Garden and have fun together, as fellow playmates, in this awesome Playground.
We don’t need to compete. We don’t need to fight. We don’t need to oppress and exploit. We don’t need to be afraid. We don’t need to accumulate.
We are here to have fun together. We are here to give our best and unique contributions, and to help others also give their best and unique contributions to the world. We are here to take good care of each other, share our toys, and have a great time together.
All we have to do is to change the prevailing mindset. We don’t need to be afraid, fight, or compete; we only need to cooperate.
You are already promoting these ideas. By being who you are and doing what you do, you are promoting this new paradigm and helping people see this new possibility of enjoying life and living in peace.
Keep up the good work, and be well, my friend.
Returning your kindness, I say, “I believe in you, Jameson.”
